Dane Hoang, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Dane Hoang graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. After obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry, she continued on to the University of Minnesota to begin her residency in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Dane completed her residency and received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry as well as her Master of Science in Oral Biology.

After undergoing a series of rigorous exams and an extensive evaluation of her in-depth knowledge and proficiency in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Dane became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2005, a prestigious honor bestowed to a select group of pediatric dentists in the United States.

To become a Diplomate, Dr. Dane successfully completed an 8-hour long Qualifying Exam in San Francisco, California. This written exam is one section of the two-part certification process for diplomate status in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. For part two, Dr. Dane selected and completed the Site Visit Examination. The Site Visit allowed two board examiners to be present in her dental office to observe direct patient care of selected procedures by Dr. Dane, review selected patient records representatives of critical treatment procedures, and assess office policy and procedures. The Site Visit enabled Dr. Dane to demonstrate a high standard of diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical care relative to the contemporary pediatric dental practice.

Dr. Dane and her staff have had years of training and experience in order to provide patients with the highest quality care available, including services for preventive and restorative dentistry, as well as early interceptive orthodontics. Dr. Dane also provides hospital dentistry by working closely with a group of highly trained pediatric anesthesiologists from Anesthesiologists for Children at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

During the past several years, Dr. Dane has been a regular volunteer for dental missions as part of Operation Smile Vietnam, a charity providing needy children with extractions, dental restorations, root canals and cleanings. It was during these trips to her native country of Vietnam that Dr. Dane became aware of the urgent need by children for assistance in all aspects of their lives. As a result, Dr. Dane was the driving force behind the creation of The Le Hoang Foundation. Founded in 2008, The Le Hoang Foundation has already made a tremendous impact by attracting numerous benefactors, all whom have graciously donated time and financial resources to help orphanages throughout Vietnam.
